WINTER
Whispers of the Veil

The Arecanut harvest usually happens in November.

The coffee cherries are ready for harvesting in December and January.

Our estate workers sorting the cherries before they are sent to be washed.

Since only the ripened red cherries are handpicked, sorting is just to get the stray leaves off.

Freshly sorted cáscara.

A lot of our drying also happens the traditional way on terracotta bricks.

Irrigating our Robusta blocks - February. Irrigation is a very important operational activity in coffee, especially for Robusta.

Sounds of APD
0:00 / 0:00[October - February]
This ethereal curtain, soft and gray, wraps our gardens in its mysterious cloak, and whispers secrets only it can provoke. As morning breaks and night’s embrace is shed, birdsongs break as the Golden Orioles gather at the fountains.
SPRING
In Full Bloom

Arabica blossoms dotting the plantation.

Robusta blossoms just before the blossom showers.

Our market garden on the estate with seasonal vegetables had a wonderful month in March.

The pepper harvest in progress throughout pockets of the estate.

Spotting the pepper pickers on the trees is usually hard, as they get camouflaged by the pepper vines.
[ March - April ]
As the seasons unfold, the estate transforms on cue. The skies are clear and dry from October to April, turning the estate into an avian sanctuary. Migratory birds, including the Malabar Trogon, flock to our waterholes.
SUMMER
Golden Harvest

Wildflowers and butterflies - year round.

The Malabar squirrel that hops from one branch of a tree to the other. It is spotted year round on the estate.

Weeding is a year-around task.

Chasing summer sunsets on the plantation.

A twilight burst of colour, viewed from the cottage.
[May - June]
The harvest concludes by mid-March. Each stage is an act of care and respect for the land that nurtures us. The beans dry slowly in the sun, soaking in the warmth and energy of the earth, creating a flavour that reflects the soul of the terroir.
MONSOON
Symphony of Showers

Tending to the coffee nursery.

This is usually done from July to August, in patches.
